The purpose of the National Field Experience Conference is to share information, practices, policies, and research pertaining to teacher candidates’ experiences in school settings. Presentations address the preparation, supervision, and evaluation of teacher candidates for their knowledge, skills, and dispositions. Logistics and management of these placements is also addressed.
The National Field Experience Conference 2026 is coming to Southern Arkansas University ~ the Home of the Muleriders ~ in Magnolia, Arkansas ~

Keynote speaker followed by presentations.

Presentations all day.
Presentation Proposal submissions will close on January 23, 2026
Registration closes on February 27, 2026

**** SPECIAL REQUEST ****
The Career Closet on SAU campus accepts new and gently worn business attire pieces, including shoes & accessories, for students. Men’s and women’s clothing can be checked out free of charge for interviews, internships, presentations or employment. Each student is invited to select two outfits a year.
It’s a good way for them to look their best in a formal setting without taking on the additional expense of shopping for new clothes. More than 30 students took advantage of the Career Closet last year.
The Career Closet is especially in need of men's dress socks and tie clips.
If you are inclined to bring any items to donate, please do. We will collect them at the Registration table. Your contributions will be very welcomed and appreciated by the students.

She was from Central Michigan University and served as the Conference Proposal Chair 2014-2019. She was a great friend and supporter, and her legacy will continue.
